About the Role

We are seeking a Production Lead to join our team at our Swedesboro, NJ bakery. As a Production Lead, you will be accountable for coordinating daily production activities, supporting line coverage, and ensuring products meet quality and safety standards while keeping production flowing efficiently.

Core Accountabilities (What You’ll Be Doing)
  • Lead and support production employees by coordinating staffing, assigning work, and providing shift coverage
  • Operate and assist in key production areas (Mixing, Sheeter, Oven, Packing) to ensure workflow continuity
  • Maintain accurate production documentation and ensure timely SAP data entry
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams—Quality, Maintenance, Sanitation, Shipping—to support smooth operations
  • Support training, coaching, and cross‑training to build team capability and drive continuous improvement
  • Monitor compliance with GMPs, safety rules, food safety standards, and equipment procedures
  • Participate in root cause analysis, AOE activities, and daily line walks to identify and resolve issues
Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3 years of related production experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 1 year of Lead Operator experience and 6+ months of Ingredient Operator or related experience
  • Ability to understand and operate mixing and dough processing equipment
  • Ability to read scales, temperatures, and complete production paperwork accurately
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to read and interpret SOPs, safety rules, and reports
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and SAP
Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)
