Overview
Join our client’s team as a Plant Supervisor supporting a food manufacturing facility in Gloucester County, New Jersey. They are looking for a hands-on leader who wants to build a long-term career and be part of a growing, team-oriented operation. This role oversees daily production activities while helping ensure production schedules are met, food safety standards are maintained, and operational goals are achieved.
Prior leadership experience within a food manufacturing environment, preferably dairy or bakery, is required. Day shift with some Saturdays. Bilingual candidates preferred but not required.
- Supervise daily plant operations to ensure safety, quality, and production goals are achieved
- Lead, coach, and develop production employees across the facility
- Monitor production schedules, labor utilization, and operational efficiencies
- Ensure compliance with GMPs, HACCP, OSHA, and company policies and procedures
- Partner with Maintenance, Quality, Sanitation, and leadership teams to minimize downtime and improve plant performance
- Troubleshoot production issues and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate production documentation and reporting
- Promote a positive, accountable, and team-oriented culture on the production floor
- Ensure employees follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment
- Assist with employee training, onboarding, and performance management initiatives
- 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in manufacturing
- Food manufacturing experience required, dairy or bakery experience preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience working in fast-paced production environments
- Knowledge of GMPs, food safety, and manufacturing operations
- Hands-on leadership style with the ability to motivate and develop teams
- Experience with Microsoft Office and production reporting systems preferred
