Schedule: Full-Time | 12-Hour Shifts

Pay Range: $18 – $23/hour

Overview

Coherent Corp. is seeking detail-oriented and technically inclined Manufacturing Operators to join our production team in Pine Brook, NJ. This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy hands-on manufacturing work, problem-solving, and operating in a fast-paced production environment.

As a Manufacturing Operator, you will support critical manufacturing processes including polishing, cleaning, furnace loading, data entry, and quality control activities while maintaining strict safety and production standards.

Responsibilities Primary Duties

Perform manufacturing processes such as etching, lapping, polishing, cleaning, mounting, and furnace loading

Monitor production processes and ensure all steps meet required specifications

Identify and report deviations or process issues to supervisors

Maintain accurate production logs and perform data entry into company systems

Follow safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times

Assist with quality control procedures to ensure products meet company and industry standards

Cross-train across departments to support operational efficiency

Support special projects and production initiatives as assigned

Maintain organized work spaces and production documentation

Requirements Must Have

High school diploma or equivalent

Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills

Ability to work 12-hour shifts

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Comfortable working around chemicals (safety training provided)

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and data entry

Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Nice to Have

Previous manufacturing or production experience

Experience with quality control procedures

Familiarity with MRP systems or manufacturing software

Mechanical aptitude or technical troubleshooting skills

Experience in computer-aided manufacturing environments

Inventory monitoring or production tracking experience
