About the Role

We are seeking an Operator 2 – Bakery Mixing to join our team at our Swedesboro, NJ bakery. As an Operator 2 in Mixing, you will be accountable for preparing and mixing ingredients according to formulas, monitoring dough quality, and ensuring consistent production flow. Your work is essential in maintaining product quality, food‑safety compliance, and supporting efficient bakery operations.

Compensation

  • Hourly Rate: $21

Core Accountabilities (What You’ll Be Doing)

  • Prepare and mix ingredients according to formulas to ensure dough meets temperature, texture, and quality standards
  • Operate and monitor mixing equipment, following all SOPs for equipment use, ingredient management, and data entry
  • Maintain organized and food‑safe prep rooms, coolers, and ingredient storage areas with accurate labeling and inventory practices
  • Collaborate effectively with Machine Operators and Leads to support smooth production flow and quality outcomes
  • Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives including problem‑solving, waste reduction, and root‑cause analysis
  • Complete accurate documentation and system entries before end of shift and report abnormalities to supervisors
  • Follow all GMPs, food‑safety rules, and workplace health and safety procedures

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • At least 6 months of experience as a Mixer or in a related production role
  • Ability to understand and follow recipes, process controls, and temperature readouts in English
  • Basic knowledge of dough mixing and mixing equipment
  • Ability to accurately read scales, temperature displays, and complete written documentation
  • Ability to work with computers and operating screens for production data entry
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills in English

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Previous bakery or food‑manufacturing experience
