Machine Operator - 2nd Shift

We seek a Converting Machine Operator to work the 2nd shift at our Bordentown, NJ facility. The role operates the converting line for hygiene products, ensuring production meets fixed specifications and standard operating procedures. The operator is responsible for performance, safety, and quality aspects of the work area.

Work schedule:

Monday - Friday from 3:20 PM to 11:50 PM.

What You Will Do
  • Demonstrate personal safety and help maintain a safe work environment for themselves and fellow production team members.
  • Follow all company safety rules and guidelines.
  • Inspect equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment.
  • Perform mechanical adjustments on the machine.
  • Produce the required amount of product within established specifications and tolerances.
  • Measure finished products with precision tools, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Maintain daily documentation and logs of units produced, recording errors that result in rejected or discarded pieces.
  • Notify supervisor upon production completion and prepare the machine for the next run.
  • Identify components from the production order, return and label any remaining components upon completion.
  • Keep the warehouse and facility clean, organized, and efficiently maintained.
  • Coordinate and communicate with production teams on all shifts about the daily production plan.
  • Lead changeovers and other technical activities as needed.
  • Continuously improve the workflow of the area.
Who You Are
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing or a related field is preferred.
  • Basic mathematics, writing, and reading skills.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility in work assignments.
  • Ability to check product quality.
  • Physical capability to walk, stand, climb ladders, bend, kneel, lift up to 50 lbs, and push/pull rolls up to 200 lbs with assistance.

Compensation and Benefits

Starting pay: $21 to $24 per hour + full benefits. Pay may vary based on knowledge, skills, and experience.
