Job Description
We are looking for a full‑time Bakery Worker who has experience and passion in the culinary arts. The job will include production preparation for a variety of sweet and savory items. One day per week is devoted to baking large batches of Cheesecake. Other items we create include chicken pot pies, soups, chili, and quiche, all sold exclusively in our storefront market.
The candidate must adapt to a fast pace, monitor the environment, and be willing to understand the purpose behind tasks. They will learn to use, break down, clean, sanitize, and reassemble our equipment. Preference is given to individuals with Serv Safe certification. The role requires multitasking.
Typical week: bake ~1000 cheesecakes, package and label products, weigh ingredients, prepare large batches of pie dough for apple pie or savory pot pies, fill pies, hand‑crimp crusts. During fall and holidays demand increases. On Thanksgiving, the team works until 2 PM and each employee receives a take‑home Thanksgiving dinner that includes a hot turkey.
Responsibilities- Dust cheesecake pans with graham cracker crumbs.
- Implement precautions to prevent cross‑contamination.
- Fill cheesecake pans with batter.
- Unmold cakes and fill out production reports.
- Package a variety of desserts and savory items.
- Help with dishes and floors at the end of a day.
- Help with inventory reports.
- 8‑hour shift, day shift, Monday to Friday.
- Weekend availability.
- 1 year Food Preparation Occupations experience (required).
- Drivers license (required).
- Serv Safe certification preferred.
- Ability to multitask.
