We are working on a production role with a top women's apparel company focusing on better women's sportswear. This role is based in NYC and the Kenilworth, NJ office: 3 days in NJ, 1 day in NYC, and possibly working from home on Fridays. The position does not require prior women's apparel experience, only strong production skills, proficiency in Excel, and experience managing the production process.
Compensation- Full‑time salary: $70,000–$85,000 based on experience and skill set.
- Open to permanent and/or temp‑to‑perm candidates.
- Enter all Work In Process and update all changes.
- Pay close attention to detail and coordinate various activities simultaneously.
- Communicate with factories, warehouse, and internal departments.
- Troubleshoot shipping and delivery issues.
- Coordinate shipments and track production orders to maintain on‑time delivery.
- Prepare and update pattern envelopes for pattern maker and marker/grader.
- Assist with overseeing all Time and Action calendars and WIP/PSR reports related to production.
- Assist the Director of Production daily, providing requested status updates and discussing scheduling plans.
- Issue, update, and receive purchase orders in the production system.
- Create and update BOMs and cost sheets in Blue Cherry for raw materials and finished goods styles.
- Generate weekly reports related to purchase orders.
- Run weekly reports.
- Follow up with production vendors on garment status and delivery.
- Perform additional duties and assignments as requested.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel), including formulas such as VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
- At least 2–4 years of experience in production coordination.
- Blue Cherry experience a plus but not required.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good follow‑up skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to function well in a high‑paced, sometimes stressful environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
- Basic knowledge of measuring garments.
