Scope

The Maintenance Manufacturing Engineer supports the reliability, maintenance, and continuous improvement of manufacturing equipment and processes within TTM Technologies’ printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing environment. The role optimizes equipment uptime, supports preventive and predictive maintenance initiatives, troubleshoots manufacturing issues, and drives process improvements to support production, quality, safety, and operational goals. The position works closely with Production, Process Engineering, Facilities, and Maintenance teams to ensure manufacturing equipment operates efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Lead planning, design, and implementation of equipment maintenance programs to maximize uptime, reliability, and production output across PCB manufacturing operations.
  • Develop and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance strategies based on equipment criticality, failure modes, and production demands.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and process-related issues.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Partner with production and engineering teams to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Assist with installation, commissioning, and validation of equipment.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for repairs and upgrades.
  • Maintain technical documentation (SOPs, PMs, work instructions).
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
  • Support capital projects and equipment improvements.
  • Provide technical guidance to maintenance technicians.
Essential Knowledge & Skills
  • Understanding of manufacturing equipment and maintenance systems.
  • Knowledge of PCB manufacturing (preferred).
  • Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and other issues.
  • Familiarity with preventive and predictive maintenance.
  • Proficiency with root cause analysis tools.
  • Manufacturing knowledge.
  • Ability to read schematics and technical drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing or maintenance engineering experience (preferred).
  • Experience in PCB or electronics manufacturing (preferred).
  • Experience with automated equipment and process improvement.
  • Knowledge of IPC standards and safety practices (a plus).
Compensation and Benefits

TTM offers a comprehensive benefits program, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), flexible spending, health savings accounts, accident benefits, life insurance, disability benefits, paid vacation, and holidays. Benefits begin on the first of the month following hire. Compensation ranges vary based on skills, experience, certifications, and business needs. A current estimated range is $89,837 - $149,728. Additional compensation may include annual or quarterly bonuses and, for alternative shifts, a shift premium.

Export

Statement

Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and all applicable laws, including ITAR, EAR, and OFAC.

Responsibilities include:

identifying ITAR products on the floor, restricting access to U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents, recognizing foreign visitors by badge differentiation, following authorization procedures for foreign visitors, complying with export and ITAR shipment requirements, and managing vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.
