The Corrugator Operator – Wet End is responsible for operating and monitoring the wet end of the corrugator machine, including paper feeding, flute formation, adhesive application, and liner bonding. This role ensures consistent board quality, proper machine setup, and efficient production flow.
Key Responsibilities- Set up and operate wet‑end components of the corrugator, including single‑facers, preheaters, and adhesive systems
- Monitor paper rolls, tension, alignment, and splicing for continuous operation
- Prepare and adjust starch/adhesive mixtures to meet product specifications
- Control temperatures, pressures, and speeds to ensure proper flute formation and bonding
- Inspect board quality (moisture, flute integrity, warp, adhesion) and make real‑time adjustments
- Coordinate with dry‑end operators and supervisors to maintain production efficiency
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor maintenance or adjustments
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
- Complete production documentation and quality records accurately
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred)
- Previous manufacturing experience; corrugator or packaging industry experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of paper grades, adhesives, and corrugating processes
- Ability to operate industrial machinery and interpret production specifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment
- Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed
- Basic math and computer skills for production tracking
- Physical ability to lift, stand for long periods, and work in a manufacturing environment
