Eligible for a 20% performance bonus opportunity paid quarterly

The Packaging Supervisor directs the activities of the production department to maximize the capabilities of both people and machinery while maintaining quality that meets customer expectations. This role will train on 1st shift, transition to a split shift, and ultimately move into a 2nd shift leadership role (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM). The Supervisor provides training, mentorship, and hands‑on leadership to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality production.

The ideal candidate will have experience in paper converting or a similar high‑speed manufacturing environment. This individual is mechanically inclined, hands‑on, and performance‑driven. They are comfortable being on the floor, actively engaged in operations, and focused on driving productivity, quality, and efficiency.

Requirements
  • Manage daily packaging operations, including production line setup, workflow coordination, and line changeovers to meet production schedules.
  • Ensure all packaged products meet company quality, safety, and regulatory standards, including FDA and GMP requirements.
  • Hire, train, schedule, and evaluate packaging employees to maintain productivity, quality, and safety standards.
  • Monitor packaging equipment, troubleshoot issues, perform basic maintenance, and coordinate repairs with maintenance as needed.
  • Accurately complete production, inventory, and labor tracking records.
  • Review production schedules with Supply Chain and make adjustments to improve efficiency and service levels.
  • Review custom jobs for accuracy.
  • Deliver efficiency and waste reduction targets.
  • Perform paper testing on inbound raw materials.
  • Provide coverage for Production Supervisors on both 1st and 2nd shift, as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations.
Your Background
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment and prior supervisory experience.
  • knowledge of or ability to learn packaging machinery and inventory management systems.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to manage teams and liaise with other departments
  • High school diploma required
  • Strong mechanical skills, including paper converting and offset printing experience, are preferred
