Job Purpose:
The Mold Machining Machinist at ARC INTERNATIONAL GROUP is responsible for operating and maintaining machining equipment to produce precision molds used in manufacturing processes. This role requires a high level of skill and attention to detail to ensure that molds meet exact specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate various machining tools, including lathes, mills, and grinders, to fabricate mold components.
Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations required.
Perform routine maintenance on machining equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime.
Inspect finished mold components for accuracy and quality, making adjustments as necessary to meet standards.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve machining issues and improve processes.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and company policies.
Document machining processes and results, contributing to continuous improvement efforts within the department.
Required
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a vocational training program in machining or a related field is preferred.
Required Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in mold machining or a closely related field.
Proven experience operating CNC machines and manual machining equipment.
Demonstrated experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD designs.
Experience in maintaining and troubleshooting machining equipment.
Required
Skills and Abilities:
Proficiency in the use of precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Strong understanding of machining processes, materials, and tooling.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet production deadlines.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and supervisors.
Ability to adapt to changing work priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
