Wind Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Leader
The Wind Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Leader is a critical member of the Wind Manufacturing Leadership Team. This role leads advanced manufacturing strategy, capital allocation, and technology roadmap development & execution. This is an opportunity to drive a multi-year strategic imperative and transformation, launching production-ready innovations that deliver a step-change in safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC) across our global wind supply chain.
EssentialFunctions
- Strategic Vision: define and execute the long-term vision for Wind Advanced Manufacturing, aligning technology roadmaps with global business objectives
- Organizational Transformation: build a high performing advanced manufacturing organization with the skills to transform manufacturing processes
- Technology Roadmap & Innovation: drive the integration of robotics, automation, and advanced manufacturing technologies to achieve a step-change in safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC) metrics.
- Capital & Strategic Decision Making: lead business case analyses and take decisions on high-impact capital investments and technology adoptions.
- Operational Excellence: institutionalize standard work and operational rhythms that ensure consistent, predictable, and measurable performance
- Lean Leadership: drive a culture of continuous improvement, embedding Lean manufacturing principles into advanced manufacturing development processes
- Cross-functional Leadership: influence cross-functional outcomes and ensure manufacturing strategy is fully integrated with business goals
- Process Standardization: define and implement best practice manufacturing processes globally across Nacelle, Blades, Generator, and Cabinets Assembly
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college in Manufacturing Operations, Engineering, or related discipline
- Minimum 10 years of relevant engineering, manufacturing, and/or advanced manufacturing experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant leadership experience
- Proven experience building and successfully implementing advanced technology roadmaps that transform business results
- Strategic leader – able to simplify complexity, develop winning strategies, and successfully lead a large organization
- Demonstrated ability to conceptualize the "art of the possible", inspire team members, and move concepts through development into high-impact, full-scale production
- Change leader – demonstrated results leading organizational change and transformation
- Lean mindset – able to drive process improvement, standard work, and successfully build culture
- Global leadership experience with proven track record building organizational capability, influencing, and driving optimized enterprise results
- Strong background in the Wind industry—or relevant industrial manufacturing—with deep knowledge of the engineering and/or manufacturing processes & technologies
