About the Role

We are seeking an Operator 1, Bakery-Ingredient to join our team at our Swedesboro, NJ bakery. As an Operator 1, Bakery-Ingredient, you will be accountable for accurately preparing, scaling, and documenting ingredients according to production recipes while maintaining inventory accuracy, traceability, food safety, and quality standards. This role plays a critical part in supporting efficient mixing operations and ensuring consistent product quality throughout the production process.

Accountabilities (What You’ll Be Doing)
  • Prepare and scale ingredients accurately according to production recipes and quality standards.
  • Maintain ingredient traceability, inventory accuracy, and production documentation.
  • Support efficient production flow by supplying ingredients to mixing operations on schedule.
  • Operate weighing, scanning, and data-entry systems to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and food-safe ingredient preparation and storage areas.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Adhere to GMP, food safety, health, safety, and security requirements while promoting a safe work environment.
Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum six (6) months of manufacturing, production, or general labor experience.
  • Ability to understand and follow recipes, production instructions, and standard operating procedures.
  • Basic math proficiency including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to accurately document production, ingredient, and traceability information using computer systems.
  • Ability to understand scale readings, temperature readings, and basic production controls.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and dump materials weighing up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)
  • Previous food manufacturing or commercial bakery experience.
  • Experience with ingredient scaling, weighing, or recipe-based production processes.
  • Familiarity with SAP, MOVEX, or similar manufacturing systems.
