HEPCO Inc. is seeking an experienced Line Operator to join our modern glass fabrication facility in Haskell, NJ. This position plays a critical role in the production of high-quality insulated glass units (IGUs) and Low-E glass products while ensuring safe, efficient, and consistent manufacturing operations.
The ideal candidate has experience operating production equipment in an IGCC-certified manufacturing environment and is committed to producing exceptional quality while maintaining a clean and safe workplace.

Production Operations- Operate production equipment throughout the glass fabrication process.
- Assist with the production of Insulated Glass Units (IGUs) and Low-E glass products.
- Follow production schedules and work orders to meet daily manufacturing goals.
- Safely handle glass materials throughout the production process.
- Glass Cutting
- Tempering
- CNC Machining
- Edging & Polishing
- Drilling
- IGU Assembly
- Low-E Glass Processing
Assist in all phases of insulated glass manufacturing, including:
- Spacer assembly
- Sealant application
- Gas filling
- Final product inspection
Ensure all products meet ASTM E2190 quality standards.
Quality Assurance- Inspect materials and finished products throughout the manufacturing process.
- Identify defects and report quality concerns immediately.
- Maintain company, customer, and industry quality standards.
- Assist in implementing corrective actions when quality issues arise.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow 5S workplace organization practices.
- Properly dispose of glass scrap and waste materials.
- Help maintain a hazard-free production environment.
- Follow OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Safely operate machinery and material handling equipment.
- Report unsafe conditions or equipment concerns immediately.
Operate and assist with the daily use of:
- Automated Glass Cutting Tables
- CNC Machining Centers
- Tempering Furnaces
- Edging & Polishing Equipment
- IG Assembly Lines
- Material Handling Equipment
- Cranes and Vacuum Lifting Systems
- Record production output as required.
- Monitor scrap and material usage.
- Communicate production issues to supervisors.
- Assist in improving production efficiency and workflow.
- 3+ years of experience in insulated glass (IGU) manufacturing.
- Experience working in an IGCC-certified manufacturing environment preferred.
- Knowledge of ASTM E2190 quality standards.
- Experience processing Low-E coated glass.
- 3+ years of manufacturing or production line experience.
- Working knowledge of glass fabrication processes, including:
- Glass Cutting
- Tempering
- CNC Machining
- Drilling
- Edging & Polishing
- IGU Assembly
- Ability to read and interpret production work orders and shop drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and manufacturing best practices.
- Experience in an IGCC-certified manufacturing facility.
- Structural glazing or high-volume tempered glass manufacturing experience.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.
- Ability to stand and walk for 8–10-hour shifts.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (team lift for larger glass panels).
- Comfortable working around machinery, glass dust, and sealants.
- Must wear required PPE, including:
- Safety glasses
- Cut-resistant gloves
- Steel-toed boots
- Hearing protection
