Production Manager DescriptionOur client is looking for a Production Manager to add to their team in Farmingdale, NJ. Reporting to the Operations Director, you will oversee day-to-day production, receiving, blending, bagging, and warehouse operations at the company’s primary facility. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be responsible for production performance, inventory accuracy, quality, safety, and workforce management. You will lead an Assistant Production Manager, 3-line leads, and hourly production employees, while also supporting satellite warehouse operations.

Manager Responsibilities
- Lead daily production, blending, packaging, receiving, and warehouse operations
- Direct, coach, and develop Assistant Production Manager and line leads
- Build and manage production schedules based on demand, inventory, and seasonal needs
- Oversee receiving, lot verification, sampling, traceability, storage, and FIFO rotation
- Manage packaging operations, including bagging, baling, stacking, palletizing, and load quality
- Maintain inventory accuracy and oversee cycle counts, replenishment, staging, and shipping
- Monitor production performance, uptime, scrap, rework, labor efficiency, and other KPIs
- Enforce quality standards, corrective actions, and production hold procedures
- Coordinate with Maintenance to address equipment issues and improve uptime
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, safety, quality, and environmental requirements
- Manage seasonal staffing, training, scheduling, and employee performance
- Support and evaluate satellite warehouse operations and share best practices
- Serve as the operational liaison with key suppliers
- Drive continuous improvement across operations
- Experience in production environments involving blending, mixing, and packaged products required
- 5+ years of leadership experience in production, packaging, or warehouse operations required
- Experience managing leads, and hourly employees required
- Demonstrated willingness and ability to lead from the floor required
- Hands-on experience with packaging line operations and equipment required
- Fluency in English and Spanish required
