Job Description

The supervisor of material management is responsible for the direct performance of the material management team. The individual is responsible for safety, quality, productivity, product movement and support of cGMP manufacturing operations. This role leads a team of 12 employees working in a collaborative environment to drive continuous improvement, maintain quality compliance, and resolve problems affecting production performance. Other key areas of responsibility include:

  • Leads and develops a team of material technicianssupporting manufacturing operations activities.
  • Analyzes material management staffing needs to support 24/7 production operation.
  • Supports quality deviations and safety investigations.
  • Coordinates training and maintains 100% training compliance in an FDA regulated environment.
  • Reviews documentations for production processing for completeness and accuracy.
  • Develops, writes, reviews and updates Standard operating procedures as required.
  • Maintains inventory accuracy and appropriate stock levels for all production supplies and tissue to support functions.
  • Ensures cleaning and housekeeping of production areas are in compliance.
  • Prioritizes activities to achieve planning and business objectives while driving positive engagement throughout all levels of the business.
  • Supports development of site strategy, process improvements to achieve long term business objectives.
  • Work cross-functionally to support all business initiatives, such as, OpEx, special projects, production training, talent acquisition, talent development, goal setting and performance development.
Qualifications
  • Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent;
    Eight plus years' experience in all aspects of manufacturing/ production processes.
  • Computer proficiency, scheduling experience required and good writing skills.
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of GMP standards and quality systems.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication, critical thinking, basic arithmetic, and proper business etiquette skills.
  • Computer proficiency including MS office (Excel, Word, Access, and Power point).and SAP.

Preferred

  • 3+ supervisory experience highly desired.
  • Experience in managing multiple shifts highly desired
  • Experience in materials management desired.
  • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment desired.
  • Ability to work occasionally offshift.
