Production Associate - Saw Operator

JOB DETAILS

Base Pay: $17.75 - $24.00 per hour

2nd Shift: 3:45 pm - 12:15 am

The
Saw Operator
is responsible forusing a computerized cutting system,the Saw Operator cuts vinyl to the exact dimensions of the parts needed for the final assembly of windows.

Successful candidates enjoy working in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and repetitive work environment, which includes heavy lifting or working with your hands.

• Operation of various hand tools to manually construct window units
• Liftand move vinyllinealsfromthestorage area tosawworkstation.
• Movement of carts in and out of production workstations.
• Sort and select the correct batch toprocessbased online’sscheduleflow report.
• Operatesafelyequipmentwithcomputerizedsystem.
• Loadingvinylcomponentsinto the production carts.
• Place scrap in the corresponding barrel(as per 5S process).
• Maintain correct partsdropsinventory listed in the system present in the drop bin location?
• Ensures overall quality of work produced by performing quality audits and engaging in problem solving activities to resolve issues ofconcern.
• Audit quality checkof cut parts.
• Performs 5S & housekeeping as expected. During line stoppages, performs downtime duties assigned to this workstation.

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly and stand for duration of entire shift.
• Must cross-train and rotate on various workstations within line/complex.
• Ability to measure lengths accurately to 1/32”
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  
  Ableto convert fractions to decimals.
• Ability to read andunderstandschedule’sworkflowreport, and written instructions.
• Capable of using computerized equipment
• Ability to moveproductioncarts.
• Be ableto recognizepartby shape and color.
• 1 - 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred
