Your role

Trillium specializes in helping customers using vacuum systems and related products in a wide range of industries. The shift Supervisor position serves to provide shop floor supervision and leadership to direct reports, including leads as applicable.

Hiring
  • Provide input on work cell requirements to meet goals.
  • Screen candidates for best fit.
  • Lead candidate selection.
Training
  • Plan and manage new hire training.
  • Ensure employees are properly trained and follow work instructions and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records.
Work Planning & Scheduling
  • Plan and maintain work schedules.
  • Ensure cleaning schedules are followed.
  • Assign tasks outside of the normal schedule as needed.
Shop Organization
  • Implement 5S-Organization system for a cleaner, more efficient workspace.
  • Remove unnecessary items from the workspace.
  • Arrange and label necessary items for easy access.
  • Keep the workspace clean and standardized.
  • Maintain proper procedures consistently.
Safety
  • Ensure team members complete necessary safety training and certifications.
  • Ensure use of protective equipment.
  • Maintain equipment in safe working order.
  • Ensure safety equipment is functional (e.g., fire extinguishers, eye wash stations).
Quality
  • Ensure team members understand and meet ISO standards.
  • Ensure all work meets Trillium quality directives.
Standards
  • Ensure team members are trained and understand written standards.
  • Verify knowledge of work instructions.
  • Ensure all work complies with written standards.
Other Duties
  • Conduct business safely and professionally.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Undertake miscellaneous projects and tasks.
  • Manage shift pass downs (reports).

To succeed, you will need

Qualifications
  • 2-4 year degree in related technique desired
  • Supervisory of direct technicians required
  • Lean Manufacturing experience required
  • Effective communicator
  • Advanced Computer Literacy (Outlook Email, Word, Excel, Power Point)
Language Skills
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret written documents
  • Ability to interpret technical charts and drawings
  • Ability to respond in a professional manner to common inquiries
