Production Associate - Saw Operator

Job Details

Base Pay: $17.75 - $24.00 per hour

2nd Shift: 3:45 pm - 12:15 am

• Use a computerized cutting system to cut vinyl to exact dimensions for window assembly.
• Operation of various hand tools to manually construct window units.
• Lift and move vinyl lineals from the storage area to the saw workstation.
• Move production carts in and out of workstations.
• Sort and select the correct batch to process based on line's schedule flow report.
• Operate safe equipment with a computerized system.
• Load vinyl components into production carts.
• Place scrap into the corresponding barrel per 5S process.
• Maintain correct parts drops inventory listed in the system and present in the drop bin location.
• Ensures overall quality of work produced by performing quality audits and engaging in problem solving activities to resolve issues of concern.
• Audit quality check of cut parts.
• Perform 5S & housekeeping as expected. During line stoppages, perform downtime duties assigned to this workstation.

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly and stand for the duration of the entire shift.
• Must cross‑train and rotate on various workstations within line/complex.
• Ability to measure lengths accurately to 1/32".
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; ability to convert fractions to decimals.
• Ability to read and understand schedule's workflow report and written instructions.
• Capable of using computerized equipment.
• Ability to move production carts.
• Be able to recognize part by shape and color.
• 1-3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Full‑time is defined as regularly working 30+ hours per week. Union programs may vary depending on the collective bargaining agreement.
