I'm supporting a confidential search for a Senior Commissioning Manager to join a leading Owner's Representative and project advisory firm delivering major data center and mission-critical projects across the U.S.
This is an owner-side leadership position with responsibility for the full commissioning process across complex electrical, mechanical and controls systems.
The Senior Commissioning Manager will represent the owner on-site and work closely with general contractors, designers, commissioning agents, trade partners and vendors. You will lead commissioning activities, track system readiness, resolve technical issues and ensure testing and turnover milestones remain on schedule.

The Senior Commissioning Manager will represent the owner on-site and work closely with general contractors, designers, commissioning agents, trade partners and vendors. You will lead commissioning activities, track system readiness, resolve technical issues and ensure testing and turnover milestones remain on schedule.
- Lead electrical, mechanical and controls commissioning from installation and system readiness through functional testing, integrated systems testing and final turnover.
- Represent the owner when coordinating with contractors, designers, commissioning agents, vendors and other project stakeholders.
- Manage commissioning schedules, MOPs, work notifications, documentation, issue tracking and closeout requirements.
- Maintain commissioning, quality and safety standards while identifying risks and resolving issues that could affect project delivery.
- Strong commissioning experience across electrical, mechanical and controls systems within data center or mission-critical environments.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate contractors, designers, vendors and commissioning agents.
- Strong knowledge of MOPs, functional testing, integrated systems testing, NFPA 70E, LOTO and OSHA standards.
- Willingness to travel 75% to 100% across the U.S. and relocate for extended project assignments when required.
Candidates must be based in the Midwest and open to 75% to 100% travel across the U.S., including extended project assignments where required.
