Packaging Operator (257938) Franklin, New Jersey
Salary: USD
20 - USD
22 per hour
Shift - M-F 8AM-4:30PM
Responsibilities- Operate automated/manual assembly, blister pack and labeling machines to pack out nasal products, ensuring correct product placement, labeling, and packaging integrity.
- Set up, adjust, and troubleshoot packaging equipment for different product runs.
- Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Perform routine quality checks to ensure packaging integrity and labeling accuracy.
- Maintain strict adherence to quality and safety standards, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory requirements.
- Use company computer systems to monitor and record production cycles, output, and any quality issues.
- Communicate regularly with production coworkers and supervisors to address performance issues and ensure smooth workflow.
- Inspect and remove defective products or packaging materials to maintain product quality.
- In nasal product environments, follow gowning procedures, cleanroom protocols, and sanitation standards.
- Complete batch records, training records, and other required documentation as part of quality systems.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum 3 years' experience operating production machinery or packaging equipment; 6-12 months preferred.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems
- Basic computer skills for production tracking systems and job posting
- Ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform routine maintenance. Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with GMP, sanitation, and safety protocols (especially in healthcare/pharma packaging) Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects
- Current forklift license would be plus.
- Exposure to heavy machinery. Doesn't need to be a certification, but needs to be familiar with forklift
- Most important is automated/manual assembly or blister packing experience
