Mechanical Assembler

This role focuses on assembling precision measurement equipment, weights, balances, and calibration instruments using hand and power tools in a production and manufacturing environment. You will work with small parts, follow detailed instructions, and help ensure that each product meets strict quality and performance standards.

• Assemble components into finished weights, balances, and mechanical test equipment according to specifications and work instructions.
• Perform small parts assembly with careful attention to detail and proper use of hand and power tools.
• Inspect parts for defects before and after assembly to ensure products meet quality and safety standards.
• Test assembled products to verify they match exact factory rules and quality requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company guidelines.
• Follow production schedules and manufacturing processes to meet output and quality targets.
• Use hand tools and power tools correctly and safely as part of daily assembly tasks.

• Experience with mechanical assembly in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to perform small parts assembly with precision and accuracy.
• Proficiency using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail for inspecting parts before and after assembly.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and factory rules for product testing and quality.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work area in line with company guidelines.

• Experience working with precision measurement equipment, weights, balances, or calibration instruments.
• Experience in manufacturing or production settings.
• Comfort working on repetitive tasks while maintaining consistent quality.

This position is based in a manufacturing and production facility focused on precision measurement equipment and calibration instruments. Work is performed on 1st shift (Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.) or 2nd shift (Monday–Friday, 2:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m.), with initial training on 1st shift for 1–2 weeks for those assigned to 2nd shift. The environment involves regular use of hand tools and power tools, handling small components, and working at assembly stations where cleanliness, organization, and safety are emphasized.

This is a Contract position based out of West Deptford, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
