Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Marketing Strategist who understands both digital and traditional marketing landscapes and can build strategies that fully leverage each. This is a contract role with the potential to evolve into a full-time position for the right individual.
This role is designed for a true strategist. Someone who can step back, see the full picture, and design integrated marketing approaches that align with business goals and audience realities. The right candidate will be comfortable moving between digital platforms and traditional channels such as print, events, direct outreach, partnerships, and brand communications.
We are looking for someone who can connect the dots across all channels and guide clients and internal teams toward cohesive, measurable outcomes. This position is in-office to support close collaboration with our team and clients.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Planning and Integration
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand organizational goals, audiences, positioning, and competitive landscape.
- Develop integrated marketing strategies that thoughtfully blend digital and traditional channels.
- Ensure strategies are not limited by channel bias, but driven by audience behavior and business objectives.
- Build marketing roadmaps that connect brand awareness, engagement, lead generation, and conversion.
Channel Strategy and Campaign Architecture
- Design multi-channel campaigns that may include digital media, SEO, email, social, print collateral, events, direct outreach, partnerships, and content marketing.
- Define how each channel contributes to the broader marketing ecosystem and customer journey.
- Create clear user journeys and communications frameworks across touchpoints.
- Establish KPIs, success benchmarks, and measurement methodologies tied to business outcomes.
Execution Oversight and Collaboration
- Guide internal teams and external partners in executing against strategic plans.
- Ensure consistency of messaging, brand expression, and timing across all channels.
- Provide strategic direction for campaign creative, messaging, and media deployment.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and adjust strategies based on data and insights.
Analytics, Insights, and Optimization
- Interpret analytics across digital and traditional initiatives to inform decision-making.
- Identify opportunities to refine targeting, messaging, and channel mix.
- Utilize analytics and AI-supported tools to enhance efficiency and strategic clarity.
- Translate data into clear recommendations for clients and internal teams.
Thought Leadership and Growth
- Stay current with evolving marketing practices across both digital and traditional disciplines.
- Identify emerging opportunities for clients based on industry trends and audience behavior.
- Contribute to internal strategic discussions and continuous improvement of agency offerings.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in marketing strategy development across both digital and traditional channels.
- Demonstrated ability to design and lead integrated marketing strategies that deliver measurable results.
- Strong working knowledge of digital marketing disciplines including paid media, SEO, email, analytics, and content strategy.
- Solid understanding of traditional marketing channels including print, events, direct outreach, partnerships, and brand communications.
- Experience establishing KPIs, measurement frameworks, and reporting structures.
- Proficiency with analytics platforms and marketing tools (Google Analytics, ad platforms, SEO tools, CRM systems, etc.).
- Familiarity with AI-enabled tools that support research, planning, and optimization.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to guide both clients and internal teams.
- Strategic thinker with strong organizational and collaborative abilities.
- Within driving distance of our office for in-person collaboration.
