Job Description
The Role
The Director, Thought Leader Engagement, Head&Neck cancer will be responsible for building advocacy and support for Genmab's first fully integrated commercial product into the Head & Neck cancer space with National/Regional Opinion Leaders (OLs), Medical Experts (MEs), promotional speakers and other key influencers in the US. This critical role will report directly into the VP, US Sales & Marketing Head&Neck Cancer and will be expected to work closely with the other members of the Genmab marketing and extended teams.
He/she will be responsible for working cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Global Marketing, Market Access, as well as Sales and Marketing to execute customer engagement plans, address customer needs, identify/initiate appropriate projects of mutual interest to Genmab and its customers, anticipate market trends, and uncover competitive intelligence, ensuring delivery against business objectives.
As a newly created position within Genmab, the Director, Thought Leader Engagement Head&Neck cancer will have the opportunity to set and own the Opinion Leader strategy for this important launch and future Genmab pipeline. Success in this role will require a collaborative mindset, solid tumor (w/ recent launch) experience, and a proven track record operating in an emerging/developing organization. This will be a hands-on role and require extensive domestic travel
Responsibilities:
Represent Genmab and brand interests as the primary point of contact with OLs and MEs;
Partner across functions to help lead commercial advisory boards, speaker bureau, conventions and congresses;
Effectively communicate complex scientific knowledge;
Pull through the vision set by the marketing brand lead;
Appropriately and compliantly integrate professional promotion strategies into the Thought Leader strategic plan;
Partner with Marketing and Sales teams to exceed goals;
Effectively translate primary & secondary data into insight and actionable strategy and tactics;
Track and provide weekly reports on insights and engagements to Marketing team;
Work effectively with Genmab sales leadership (and field sales advisory boards) and other relevant Genmab functions,
Manage project timelines, and budgets;
Requirements
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required;
Oncology experience is required and Head&Neck cancer or other solid tumors (NSCLC, CRC) experience strongly preferred
12+ years in Pharmaceutical Sales and/or Account Management experience within oncology or high science TA, with TLE experience preferred;
Recent launch experience;
Experience working in the highly complex, dynamic environment of an emerging organization;
Ability to work cross-functionally and on multiple projects simultaneously;
Ability to thrive in ambiguity, with an entrepreneurial mind-set and a track record of results;
Resourceful, decisive and proactive approach to managing multiple priorities in a fast-growing organization;
Strong communication and presentation skills;
Startup, emerging pharma, or new team experience desired;
Ability to travel domestically up to 60%, including weekends
