Position Summary

Role and ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Director of Marketing reports to the Verizon Account VP/GM. This role develops, coordinates, and implements marketing strategies for the Verizon account team, one of the largest revenue‑driving accounts in the world.
- Lead and grow a high‑performance account marketing team.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional colleagues at the account team in NJ and mobile headquarters in Plano, TX.
- Champion Samsung mobile products, design and execute programmatic activities that support product launches and ongoing product lifecycle sell‑out at Verizon.
- Improve go‑to‑market processes to ensure marketing programs are efficient and effective.
- Coordinate national and regional marketing plans balancing Samsung and Verizon objectives.
- Negotiate media funding based on sell‑out metrics while maintaining strong relationships with Verizon’s marketing team.
- Act as the primary SEA marketing interface with Verizon’s product marketing, marketing communications, and public relations teams.
- Monitor and evaluate the competitive environment; formulate tactics to anticipate and respond to competitors.
- Identify growth opportunities within Verizon’s specific channels and develop initiatives to grow Samsung share.
- Work closely with Category and Channel Sales to achieve revenue and share goals.
- Secure funding for marketing programs through business case development and internal sell‑in.
- Contribute to PowerPoint slide preparation for marketing and product launch storytelling.

- 12–14 years of experience in product, customer, and acquisition marketing within consumer electronics, CPG, manufacturer, or retail; mobile telecom industry a plus.
- 5–7 years building and leading high‑performance marketing teams.
- Expert in customer and channel marketing strategy, leveraging consumer and shopper marketing insights, retention and loyalty strategy.
- Proven performance in developing and executing strategies that deliver wins for the consumer, customer and company. Sales acumen a must.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Polished verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong relationship management with key customer contacts.
- Experience building and managing marketing programs that drive sales growth.
- Experience leading meetings, organizing people and processes.
- Ability to ideate new concepts and creatively solve problems.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills focusing on PowerPoint slide building.
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat preferred.
- Budget management and Excel proficiency.
- Ability to write, read, analyze, interpret and present mobile device technical product specifications.
- Develop and maintain excellent working relationships within and outside the company.
- Plan, organize, and prioritize multiple assignments and projects.
- Read and interpret marketing documents, media materials, and contracts based on corporate legal and marketing standards.
- Demonstrated competency in both oral and written communication modes for internal and external personnel at all levels, especially in sales, logistics, or finance.

Salary Range$245,000 – $275,000 annual base salary, with additional MBO bonus compensation based on individual performance.
