PositionSummary
The Digital Marketing Coordinator is responsible for executing Home Surplus's day-to-day digital marketing activities across multiple channels. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role for someone who is highly organized, responsive, and comfortable managing a large number of recurring marketing tasks. The role is less about developing high-level strategy or personally creating every piece of content, and more about making sure campaigns, posts, emails, listings, and other marketing initiatives are completed accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities- Schedule, publish, and maintain content across social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, and other relevant platforms.
- Post and maintain products, promotions, and offers on Facebook Marketplace and similar digital marketplaces.
- Identify and execute appropriate opportunities on community platforms such as Nextdoor, local Facebook Groups, Reddit, and other relevant online communities.
- Build, schedule, and send customer email campaigns, promotional emails, newsletters, and automated drip campaigns.
- Maintain campaign calendars and ensure planned marketing initiatives launch on schedule.
- Coordinate with the internal creative team to request graphics, video, copy, photography, and other assets needed for campaigns.
- Coordinate with outside agencies, freelancers, technology providers, and other vendors when additional creative or technical support is required.
- Repurpose approved creative across multiple channels and formats while keeping messaging consistent.
- Monitor basic campaign performance, engagement, email results, and lead activity; flag what is working and what needs attention.
- Maintain organized files, marketing assets, campaign links, logins, calendars, and project status information.
- Perform routine website and digital-content updates using available tools and internal or external technical support.
- Follow through on marketing tasks from assignment through completion and proactively surface delays, missing assets, or roadblocks.
- This is an execution-heavy “blocking and tackling” marketing role.
- The person should be capable of independently managing the daily workflow without needing to set the overall company marketing strategy.
- They do not need to be the primary graphic designer, videographer, or creative director; they will work with internal and outside creative resources.
- Using AI tools to work more efficiently is expected, not optional — this role is not a fit for someone who prefers to do everything manually.
- They should have enough marketing judgment to know when something is ready to publish, when to ask a question, and when to elevate an issue.
- Required:
comfortable using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Canva AI, scheduling and automation platforms) as a core, everyday part of the workflow — this is a must-have, not a nice-to-have. - 1–4 years of experience in digital marketing, social media, email marketing, e-commerce, or a related coordination role.
- Extremely organized with strong follow-through and attention to detail.
- Comfortable juggling multiple channels, deadlines, and recurring tasks at the same time.
- Working knowledge of social media platforms, email marketing systems, digital marketplaces, and common marketing tools.
- A strong written…
