HACKENSACK MERIDIAN HEALTH is hiring a Nurse Manager Assistant – MICU – Full Time Nights at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Borough of Neptune City, New Jersey.

• Act as a professional, registered nurse who supports the organization in executing the nursing strategic plan and priorities.
• Coordinate staffing, throughput, quality and safety outcomes, staff competency, hiring, and clinical and staff actions to support the mission and values.
• Collaborate with Nurse Manager to assess, plan, implement, monitor and evaluate nursing practice and the care delivery system with direct supervision of front-line staff.
• Interprets and communicates policies, standards and procedures; serves as a role model for professionalism and quality care.
• Identify cost containment opportunities and alternative product utilization within the department.
• Serve on-call based on unit requirements; participate in special projects as assigned.
• Adhere to organizational competencies and standards of behavior.

• Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license is required
• Minimum of an associate degree in Nursing or diploma of Nursing
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire
• Active American Heart Association BLS/CPR required
• ACLS required
• Current CCRN required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire
• Minimum 3 years recent nursing experience in the respective specialty or equivalent
• 5 years of Critical Care nursing experience highly preferred
• Prior Assistant Manager or Supervisor experience preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; leadership and motivational abilities
• Strong critical thinking, program development, and project management skills
• Ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing needs, with a strong sense of accountability and teamwork

Minimum rate of $ annually. The posted rate is a reasonable good faith estimate of the minimum base pay at the time of posting and may not reflect the full value of our total rewards package.

Pay may vary based on factors such as labor market data, experience, education and certifications, skills, location, internal equity, and budget considerations. Some roles may be eligible for incentives or shift differentials.
