Registered Nurse (RN) - PCU/MST
Cape May Courthouse, NJ
13 Weeks
Department:
Progressive Care Unit / Medical Surgical Telemetry (PCU/MST)
36 hours/week
Nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) Every Other Weekend (EOW)
The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the Progressive Care Unit/Medical Surgical Telemetry setting. The RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care in collaboration with the healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
LICENSURE & CERTIFICATIONS- NJ-RN License
Current, active Registered Nurse license in New Jersey - BLS Certification
Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS - ACLS Certification
Current American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS - NIHSS
Current National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale certification
Minimum Experience 3 years of recent PCU/MST (Progressive Care Unit/Medical Surgical Telemetry) RN experience required.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS- Flu Vaccination required prior to start date
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to PCU/MST patients
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and neurological status
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members
- Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record
- Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
