Pay: $47.00—$48.50 per hour (includes $1.50 shift differential for 2nd shift).
DescriptionRegistered Nurse Full Time – Residential Program at 1000 Atlantic Avenue, Camden, NJ (Virtua facility). Population:
Adolescents.

This position is responsible for assessment, coordination, and provision of youth’s health care needs. It provides expert consultation and guidance to staff regarding medication and health issues for youth. The schedule includes day, evening, and weekend hours.
Reports to:
Lead RN
- 18 years of age or older
- Licensed, registered nurse in the state of New Jersey
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in nursing, social work, psychology, or a related field
- At least one year of direct care nursing experience with youth
Skills and Abilities
- Valid driver’s license
- Clean criminal record history clearance and child abuse history clearance
- Physically able to use therapeutic holds, certified biannually
- Trauma‑informed care skills to de‑escalate crisis situations
- Excellent interpersonal skills with diverse backgrounds and cultures
- Flexible scheduling, available for agency holidays as required
- Basic computer skills
- Prioritization under pressure
- Knowledge of CFG’s mission and values
- Adherence to program and agency protocols, policies, and procedures
- Confidentiality and boundary maintenance with staff and youth
- Active participation in staff meetings and communication processes concerning youth and the program
- Completion of all required trainings, both upon hire and annually
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Collaborative relationship with team and stakeholders, providing assistance as needed
- Creation of a positive community atmosphere
- Effective oral, written, and group communication skills
- Accurate, objective documentation
- Contribution to facility safety, cleanliness, and security

- Willingness to accept direction and supervision

- Collaboration with youth, providing respectful care and guidance

- Support for constructive visitation and community activities for youth and families
- Training in Nurtured Heart Approach, including its 3 Stands and Recognitions
- Establish supportive and therapeutic relationships with youth for safety and responsive residential care
- Develop and maintain relationships with community providers and parents
- Collaborate with prescribing medical staff and pharmacy provider as indicated
- Respect all team members, maximizing potential within roles
- Collaborate with other team members to deliver high‑standard care
Responsible for daily supervision and maintaining awareness of youth locations at all times.
Daily Living- Serve as role model and coach for problem‑solving, decision‑making, conflict resolution, independent living, and responsibilities
- Know current level of functioning and needed interventions
- Observe and document behavior, physical and emotional symptoms; perform interventions as needed
- Familiar with all youth treatment plans
- Implement daily living and behavior plans developed by multidisciplinary team
- Assist youth with skill‑building activities
- Educate youth and staff on health, hygiene, and disease prevention
- Consistently implement program policies, including the behavioral motivational system
