Schedule:
- Shift: Day Shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
- 5 Days per Week (40 Hours)
- No Call, No Weekends, No Holidays
A leading healthcare facility is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment. The role involves applying the nursing process to patients undergoing surgical procedures, ensuring optimal outcomes through comprehensive assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing surgical procedures.
- Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Document patient care, treatment plans, interventions, and outcomes accurately.
- Scrub and circulate across a wide variety of surgical cases.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Supervise and evaluate non-nursing personnel in the operating room.
- Ensure adherence to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an acute care hospital operating room.
- Ability to scrub and circulate for all types of surgical cases.
- Strong clinical knowledge and analytical skills for developing effective care plans.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- General Surgery (including laparoscopic and robotic procedures)
- Orthopedics / Spine / Podiatry
- Urology
- ENT (Ear, Nose & Throat)
- Vascular Surgery
- Required: Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN)
- Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Required:
- BLS (American Heart Association)
- Active New Jersey RN License or Multi-State Compact License
- Preferred:
- ACLS (AHA)
- PALS
- English proficiency (Read, Write, Speak) required
- Strong documentation and clinical decision-making skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a structured surgical schedule
