Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department

We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care in a fast-paced emergency setting. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients across the lifespan, from pediatric to geriatric populations. This role requires strong critical thinking, emergency response capabilities, excellent clinical judgment, and the ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
  • Deliver direct nursing care to emergency department patients with varying levels of acuity.
  • Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes in clinical status, and initiate appropriate interventions.
  • Operate and assist with emergency equipment, procedures, and life‑saving interventions.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and therapies in accordance with physician orders and nursing standards.
  • Accurately document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and education provided.
  • Maintain compliance with patient safety goals, infection prevention standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, discharge instructions, and follow‑up care.
  • Prioritize patient care needs and respond effectively in emergency and high‑pressure situations.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and provide professional, compassionate customer service.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development activities.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required;
    Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required for Pediatric Emergency Department positions.
  • Minimum one (1) year of recent Emergency Department, Critical Care, or Cardiac Nursing experience required.
  • Experience caring for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations across varying acuity levels.
  • Strong experience in emergency patient assessment, stabilization, and treatment of acute and critical conditions.
  • Demonstrated ability to respond effectively in fast‑paced, high‑acuity clinical environments.
  • Excellent critical thinking, clinical judgment, communication, and patient care skills.
  • Shift is 12‑hour Night (7:00 PM-7:00 AM), 36 hrs/week.
  • Location:

    Pompton Plains, NJ 07444.
  • Pay Range for Locals: $55 - $60 per hour.
  • Pay Range for Travelers: $2,350 - $2,400 per week.
