Key Responsibilities- Patient Care:
Provide direct patient care, including assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans. - Medication Administration:
Safely administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers. - Patient
Education:
Educate patients and their families on health conditions, medications, and post-discharge care. - Monitoring:
Observe and record patient conditions, vital signs, and progress. Respond promptly to changes in patients' status. - Collaboration:
Work closely with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care. - Documentation:
Accurately document all patient interactions, interventions, and outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards. - Compliance:
Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including infection control and patient safety protocols. - Emergency Response:
Act quickly and efficiently in emergency situations to provide life‑saving interventions. - Training and Mentorship:
Assist in the orientation and training of new staff members or nursing students, as needed.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred;
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) acceptable with relevant experience.
Licensure:
Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in [state].
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required. Specialty certifications (e.g., CCRN, CEN) are a plus.
