Registered Nurse – Medical & Surgical X (Night Shift)
Monmouth Medical Center, 300 Second Avenue, Long Branch, NJ – Full‑time, hourly RN position within the Medical & Surgical X department, required to work a 36‑hour night shift.
Pay Range: $46.90 – $63.09 per hour (New Jersey).
Summary of Job FunctionThe Registered Nurse provides nursing care within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards, ensuring ethical practice per ANA code of ethics. They maintain evidence‑based practice, communicate and utilize resources, report safety issues, supervise task delegation, and collaborate with other patient‑care providers. The RN prioritizes care interventions, measures outcomes, and uses the nursing process to deliver individualized patient plans.
Required Qualifications- ASN or Nursing Diploma
- 1–2 years’ experience within specialty
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficient computer skills
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license
- Valid N.J. State Driver’s License
- BA/BS/BSN Degree
- Completion of clinical experience in NLN accredited school
- Screening Certification eligibility
- National Certification
- Night Shift, 36 hours per week
- Ensure safety in practice and incorporate evidence‑based principles
- Report identified safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors
- Maintain knowledge of the patient population served
- Supervise and delegate tasks to appropriate team members and collaborate with other providers
- Set and evaluate priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement
- Apply the nursing process to integrate all aspects of care and individualize patient plans
