Unit Overview

20 LDR/Mother-Baby couplet rooms
2 OB Operating Rooms (C-Sections)
3 OB Emergency Department rooms
Nurses care for both Labor & Delivery and Mother-Baby patients
AWHONN Ratios: Labor 1:1–1:2 | Couplet Care 1:3

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience
Epic EMR experience required
Mother‑Baby/Postpartum couplet care experience preferred
Active NJ RN License or Compact RN License
AHA BLS, ACLS, and NRP (must be active at submission)

Orientation

Full orientation is mandatory

Includes virtual onboarding, required education, and unit‑specific orientation.
Failure to complete orientation may result in cancellation of the assignment.

Ideal Candidate

An experienced Labor & Delivery RN who is comfortable caring for laboring patients, postpartum mother‑baby couplets, and assisting with Cesarean deliveries.
