Patient Care Technician Nights , Nursing Resource, Atlantic Health Chilto

Responsible for assisting doctors and nursing staff in ensuring that the basic needs of each patient are met. Daily tasks include feeding and cleaning patients, monitoring vital signs and health.

• Assists patients with activities of daily living including bathing, feeding, dressing
• Obtains and records vital signs, weights, and heights
• Assists patients with mobility: ambulation, transfer, discharges and ROM activities
• Performs post mortem care
• Performs EKGs, phlebotomy and blood glucose monitoring
• Observes and reports changes in patients' condition to the RN
• Maintains phlebotomy equipment and inventory
• Other related duties as assigned

• HS Diploma or equivalent
• BLS certification

• Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
• Patient, compassionate nature
• Ability to operate as part of a team, alongside physicians and nurses
• Proficiency in computer-based data management programs and information systems
• Prior acute care experience strongly preferred
