Job OverviewRWJBarnabas Health is looking for a qualified RN to work at its Eatontown, NJ location. The RN assists the practice manager, physician, and nurse practitioner in the administration of care, performing routine procedures, and maintaining an orderly flow of patients.
Pay TransparencyThe hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey is $39.11 - $50.00 per hour. The compensation offered depends on educational background, skills, and professional experience.
Qualifications- Required: New Jersey RN License
- Required: BLS Certification approved by AHA
- Required: Minimum 1 year of RN experience
- Preferred: BA/BS/BSN degree
- Preferred: Epic experience

- Full-Time Schedule
- Administers immunizations and injections as directed by patient’s physician.
- Assists the physician in examination and treatment of patients and in mandatory procedures including minor surgery.
- Prepares patients and exam rooms, takes initial medical history, vitals, and schedules lab and x‑ray appointments.
- Prepares mandatory equipment and assists during testing in accordance with nursing standards.
- Handles prescription refills and calls to pharmacies and patients.
- Maintains cleanliness of exam rooms, washes instruments, performs mandatory sterilization, and keeps rooms stocked.
- Maintains labor logbook and OSHA‑related mandatory logs.
- Maintains medical inventories, orders supplies, checks deliveries, reconciles discrepancies, reviews bills, and submits claims to the Practice Manager or Assistant Office Manager.
- Notifies patients of lab results, administers mandatory injectable medications prescribed by the physician, performs mandatory house‑lab work, and processes specimens to the laboratory.
- Performs mandatory venipunctures, urinalysis, glucose, and hemoglobin tests, and forwards specimens to the appropriate lab.
- Provides mandatory nursing care and follows mandatory medical directions given by physicians.
- Communicates scheduling or operational issues to the Practice Manager and Director of Operations.
- Receives and handles phone calls directed by the physician.
- Attaches lab reports to the chart for MD review and removes reports from the printer.
- Removes sutures, cleans wounds, and applies dressings as directed.
- Interprets and implements physician orders.
- Delivers medical education to patients.
- Properly handles and stores all office medications, checking expiration dates on in‑house supplies and immunizations.
- Reviews scheduled patients’ charts and obtains missing documents.
