Travel CVICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Open Heart Recovery
Assignment Type:
Travel Contract/Local Contract
We are looking for experienced CVICU/RNs for Open Heart Recovery travel assignments across the U.S. Must be skilled in post‑operative cardiac care and willing to travel.
Job Responsibilities- Provide direct care to post‑cardiac surgery patients in the CVICU
- Monitor vital signs, manage vasoactive drips, and assess for complications
- Collaborate with cardiac surgeons, intensivists, and interdisciplinary teams
- Operate advanced cardiac monitoring and life support equipment
- Document and communicate effectively to ensure continuity of care
- Active RN license (Compact license preferred)
- BLS and ACLS certifications mandatory; CCRN preferred
- Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU or Open Heart Recovery experience
- Strong knowledge of hemodynamics, ventilators, and cardiac pharmacology
- Ability to adapt quickly in high‑acuity, high‑pressure settings
