The Oceanport Board of Education is accepting applications for Substitute School Nurses. Required Certification:
Hold a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university Hold a valid, current New Jersey School Nurse Certificate or Substitute School Nurse Certificate Hold a valid, current New Jersey Registered Nurse License Hold a current CPR/AED certificate Hold and maintain a valid driver's license Successful Candidates Must Possess the Following:
Knowledge of specialized medical needs of students with acute and chronic illnesses Identifying and treating accidents and injuries Interpersonal skills needed to communicate effectively with students, parents, administration, staff, and community partners Strong understanding of allergy and diabetes management guidelines Skills Prefered:
Knowledge of the role of the school nurse as per school health services guidelines Excellent organizational and communication skills
