Cardiac ICU Nurse Practitioner (NP)

What You'll Do:
- Provide advanced care for patients with acute cardiac conditions in the ICU, including those requiring ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation) and MCS (Mechanical Circulatory Support).
- Collaborate closely with a multi-disciplinary team of cardiologists, surgeons, and specialists in performing complex cardiac surgeries, including heart transplants, LVAD placements, and coronary artery bypass surgeries.
- Monitor and manage patients pre- and post-surgery, ensuring optimal outcomes in high-acuity settings.
- Lead and guide the ICU team in delivering evidence-based practices and cutting-edge cardiac interventions.
- Serve as a critical resource for families, providing support and education during challenging moments.
Qualifications:
- Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with NP certification (Adult-Gerontology Acute Care preferred).
- Extensive experience in Cardiac ICU or related critical care settings.
- Proficiency in managing patients on ECMO and Mechanical Circulatory Support devices.
- Strong understanding of cardiac surgery and post-operative care for patients undergoing complex procedures.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to work with an interdisciplinary team.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree in nursing from an accredited school or as grandfathered by NJ Law required.
- Current licensure as a RN in the State of NJ and certified by the State Board of Nursing.
- Certification within area of specialty required and granted privileges from Atlantic City Medical Center medical staff.
- NRNNP, C or RNCNS, C registry unencumbered.
- ACLS required in Urgent Care, Atlanti Care Physician Group and Heart Failure Program
- BLS required.
