Cardiac ICU Nurse Practitioner (NP)

What You'll Do:

• Provide advanced care for patients with acute cardiac conditions in the ICU, including those requiring ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation) and MCS (Mechanical Circulatory Support).
• Collaborate closely with a multi-disciplinary team of cardiologists, surgeons, and specialists in performing complex cardiac surgeries, including heart transplants, LVAD placements, and coronary artery bypass surgeries.
• Monitor and manage patients pre- and post-surgery, ensuring optimal outcomes in high-acuity settings.
• Lead and guide the ICU team in delivering evidence-based practices and cutting-edge cardiac interventions.
• Serve as a critical resource for families, providing support and education during challenging moments.

Qualifications:

• Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with NP certification (Adult-Gerontology Acute Care preferred).
• Extensive experience in Cardiac ICU or related critical care settings.
• Proficiency in managing patients on ECMO and Mechanical Circulatory Support devices.
• Strong understanding of cardiac surgery and post-operative care for patients undergoing complex procedures.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to work with an interdisciplinary team.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master's degree in nursing from an accredited school or as grandfathered by NJ Law required.
• Current licensure as a RN in the State of NJ and certified by the State Board of Nursing.
• Certification within area of specialty required and granted privileges from Atlantic City Medical Center medical staff.
• NRNNP, C or RNCNS, C registry unencumbered.
• ACLS required in Urgent Care, Atlanti Care Physician Group and Heart Failure Program
• BLS required.
