Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Mullica Hill, NJ. The ideal candidate will have extensive perioperative experience and be highly proficient in both scrubbing and circulating across a wide range of complex surgical specialties.
This position requires a confident OR nurse with strong experience in vascular, thoracic, orthopedic spine, robotics, trauma, neurosurgery, general surgery, gynecology, and urology procedures.
Unit Overview

• Multi-specialty Operating Room
• EMR: Cerner (Epic experience required)
• Scrubs Provided by Hospital
• High-acuity surgical environment

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub and circulate for a wide variety of surgical procedures.
• Prepare operating rooms, surgical instruments, and equipment before procedures.
• Maintain a sterile surgical environment throughout each case.
• Assist surgeons and the surgical team during complex operative procedures.
• Monitor patient safety before, during, and after surgery.
• Document surgical procedures accurately using the electronic medical record.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and perioperative staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and surgical best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Minimum 3 years of recent Operating Room experience
• Ability to Scrub and Circulate independently
• Expert-level experience with:
  • Vascular Surgery
  • Thoracic Surgery
  • Orthopedic Spine Surgery
  • Robotic Surgery
  • Trauma Surgery
• Epic experience required
• Current AHA BLS Certification
• Current AHA ACLS Certification

Preferred Qualifications

• National specialty certification (CNOR or equivalent)
• Experience in:
  • Neurosurgery
  • General Surgery
  • Gynecology
  • Urology
  • Orthopedics
  • Robotic procedures

Assignment Details

• 13-Week Contract
• Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• 40 Hours/Week (4x10)
• Guaranteed 40 Hours
• Weekend On-Call: One weekend per month
  • Saturday: 24 hours
  • Sunday: 12 hours
• Hospital-provided scrubs

Orientation Requirements

• Attendance at all orientation sessions is mandatory.
• Virtual New Employee Orientation and Health Stream modules must be completed before unit orientation.
• In-person education classes are required during orientation week.
• Badge appointment must be completed before beginning work.
• Failure to complete orientation requirements may result in cancellation of the assignment.
