Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Job Summary:

Provides critical nursing care in the Emergency Room environment, requiring advanced clinical skills and experience in fast-paced settings. Responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and adhering to all safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions thoroughly upon arrival and prioritize care based on acuity.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions following established protocols.
• Document patient information accurately in electronic health records.
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and support staff to develop and implement care plans.
• Educate patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and post-discharge instructions.
• Ensure compliance with all licensing, certification, and hospital policies.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid NJ License or Compact Nursing license.
• Possess at least three (3) years of recent ED experience, including high-volume or fast-paced environments.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Epic electronic medical records.
• Maintain current AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications, with no expiring certifications within 30 days.
• Have completed at least one travel contract assignment.
