Non-locally Trained Diagnostic Radiographers Registration Ra

The Hospital Authority (HA) invites applications from non‑locally trained Diagnostic Radiographers who are not fully registered with the Radiographers Board, Hong Kong to join us in serving the community of Hong Kong.

The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government has amended existing law to facilitate qualified non‑locally trained Diagnostic Radiographers to practice in the public healthcare sector of Hong Kong under limited registration.

Pay: HK $35,795 to HK $57,842 per month including Monthly Allowance (see Remark
3). Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by HA) as end‑of‑contract gratuity will be offered upon satisfactory completion of contract.

• Registered under the law of a qualifying place outside Hong Kong as a Diagnostic Radiographer
• With at least 1‑year full‑time post‑qualification clinical experience related to radiography
• A degree in Diagnostic Radiography / Medical Imaging / Radiological Science or equivalent
• Fluency in written English and Chinese as well as spoken English and Cantonese

• Interpersonal skills

The HA will arrange selection interviews with shortlisted candidates and will support applications of suitable candidates to the Supplementary Medical Professions Council (i.e. “Allied Health Professions Council”) to practice under Limited Registration. The HA will also assist successfully registered candidates who are not Hong Kong residents in application to obtain employment visas from the Immigration Department of the HKSARG prior to commencement of work.

• Full resume* (including details of academic qualification, registration status, current practice, post‑qualification work experience and related professional qualifications)
• Graduation certificate
• Valid practising certificate issued by a certifying board or authority
• Valid registration certificate issued by a registration authority
• Documentary proof(s) of all full‑time post‑qualification clinical experience related to radiography
• Two reference letters from current/previous employing institution (if any)
• Certificate of professional qualification or post‑qualification training (if listed in the resume)

* Full resume should include details of the followings:

• Salary will be commensurate with relevant experience and qualification of the selected candidate.
• Appointment will be on contract terms for a period of one to three years, renewable subject to renewal of Limited Registration, satisfactory performance and mutual agreement.
• Candidates outside Hong Kong together with their eligible family members (up to four persons) may be granted economy‑class air passage from country of origin to Hong Kong as well as on return upon completion of the terminal contract.
• A one‑off “Relocation Allowance”, set at the employee’s two months’ basic salary or HK $60,000, whichever is lower, may be granted to candidates outside Hong Kong on a reimbursement basis.
• Salaries tax in Hong Kong is currently charged at progressive rates of up to 17%, or standard rate of 15%, whichever is lower.
• May be required to work shifts and irregular hours as well as perform on‑call duties.
