Lead Certified Veterinary Technician
Salary: $28 - $32.00 per hour, determined by the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications.
Schedule: This is a full-time position averaging 40 hours per week. The hospital hours are Monday–Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Thursday and Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Team members enjoy a set, consistent schedule with one designated day off each week and only one Saturday shift per month.
Tranquility Veterinary Clinic is hiring a full-time Lead Certified Veterinary Technician to provide skilled care to our patients and exceptional service to our clients. Our ideal candidate has experience in animal care, client communication, and veterinary procedures, with a passion for improving the lives of pets and their owners.

- Oversee daily surgery and dental workflow to ensure efficient operations, strong team coordination, and high standards of patient care
- Develop and maintain training materials and clinical protocols while evaluating staff competency across all technical areas
- Manage equipment troubleshooting, laboratory operations, scheduling, and compliance with medical, safety, and inventory processes in collaboration with leadership
- Serve as a liaison between team members and management, supporting communication, staff development, and adherence to hospital protocols
- Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
- Safely handle and restrain animals with compassion.
- Communicate clearly with clients, including care instructions and status updates
- Perform technical duties such as lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
- Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
- Help keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
- Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times.
- Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) certification in New Jersey is preferred.
- Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
- Knowledgeable about common disease states and able to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
- Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.
