Since 1983, Oakhurst Veterinary Hospital has proudly served dogs and cats across Monmouth County, the Jersey Shore, and New Jersey. We are a large, multi‑departmental AAHA‑accredited, Fear‑Free, and Cat‑Friendly practice, located in a modern, state‑of‑the‑art facility just minutes from the beach.

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Surgery Veterinary Technician to join our surgical team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with experienced doctors on both routine and advanced procedures. • Assist veterinarians during general and advanced surgical procedures, including orthopedic surgery
• Confidently monitor patients under anesthesia using a variety of monitoring equipment
• Perform dental cleanings: dental radiographs, charting, scaling, and polishing
• Prepare patients for surgery and maintain sterile fields
• Support hospitalized surgical patients with postoperative care
• Participate in ongoing cross‑training opportunities across multiple hospital departments

• A CVT or a veterinary technician with 1–2+ years of surgery/anesthesia experience
• Interest and some experience in dentistry and dental radiology
• Confidence with anesthesia monitoring
• A strong communicator who thrives in a collaborative, team‑focused culture
• A technician who is eager to learn, grow, and expand their skills in advanced medicine

Flexible scheduling: 4‑day work week with rotating weekends

Competitive pay: $20–$27/hour, with the potential for up to $30/hour for the right experienced CVT
