Atco, New Jersey

Associate Veterinarian

Let’s keep this simple: we’re looking for a great veterinarian who loves what they do—and wants to work somewhere that makes it easy to do it well.

At House Paws, we blend high-quality medicine with a genuinely supportive team environment. Whether you’re in a client’s home or in the hospital, you’ll have the tools, trust, and teamwork you need to practice the way you were trained (and probably always hoped you could).

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Practice thoughtful, high-quality medicine using modern diagnostics and treatment options
  • Build real relationships with clients (the kind where they actually trust your recommendations)
  • Educate pet owners on preventive care—vaccines, parasite control, and all the good stuff that keeps pets healthier, longer
  • Manage your caseload efficiently while keeping medical records clear and thorough (SOAP-style)
  • Jump into urgent cases when needed and prioritize appropriately
  • Collaborate with a team that genuinely enjoys working together
  • Get involved in the local community and represent the practice in a positive, authentic way
What We’re Looking For
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
  • Active state veterinary license in good standing
  • A team-first mindset and strong communication skills
  • Someone who cares about both pets and the people attached to them
Why House Paws

We’re a modern, forward-thinking practice with a strong focus on preventative care, client education, and thorough, personalized medicine. We take pride in creating an environment that feels professional but never stiff—supportive, collaborative, and grounded in doing right by our patients and each other.

We’re also part of a larger network through United Veterinary Care, which means you get the backing, resources, and career opportunities of a big organization—without losing the autonomy and culture that make a practice feel like home.

Benefits & Perks
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance options (effective the 1st of the month following your start date)
  • 401(k) with company match (eligible after 6 months)
  • Company-sponsored Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • Referral bonus program
  • Employee pet care discount

If you’re looking for a place where you can practice great medicine, be part of a solid team, and actually enjoy coming to work, you might’ve just found it.
