Position: Hibachi Chef will train
Location: Mountainside

JOB SUMMARY

On a daily basis, prepares and cooks food. Performs a live, entertaining cooking show in front of guests.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Prepare and cook food in at hibachi tables in the dining room and in front of guests.
  • Ensure Company recipes are made to specification.
  • Prepare food to Company specification.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience preferred performing a live cooking show in front of guests

WORKING CONDITION & PHYSICAL EFFORT

The work environment can be loud and busy. The position requires live performance in front of guests while preparing food. There are many hazards such as hot surfaces and liquids, sharp knives, and slippery floors. Work is normally performed in a restaurant/catering work environment in front of a live audience of guests. High stress and fast-paced environment. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods as well as walk, bend and stoop. The position requires working taste buds, ability to smell, feel with fingers and visually inspects, including close and distance vision. The position requires ability to use arms, hands and manipulate fingers to reach, stir, measure, pour, cut, chop, dice, decorate, etc.
