Shift Supervisor – Nathan’s, Auntie Anne’s, and Retail

At Applegreen, we refresh travelers on their journey. Applegreen USA operates over 80 travel plazas across the Northeast and Midwest that provide convenience, comfort, retail, and a wide range of food options, including Auntie Anne’s, Burger King, Chick-Fil-A, Cinnabon, Dunkin Donuts, Panda Express, Panera, Popeyes, Pret, Shake Shack, Starbucks, and more.

As the Shift Supervisor, you will lead shifts by ensuring team members provide exceptional customer service, thoroughly complete their duties, and follow brand standards and food safety requirements. You may assist in training newly hired team members and monitor for compliance with cash handling policies and procedures.

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Provide friendly customer service by engaging with customers and resolving complaints when appropriate.
• Complete opening, daily, and closing procedures/checklists in accordance with company policies.
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system, process payments accurately, and follow all customer service and cash handling policies.
• Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed, including wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating, and checking temperatures of products.
• Perform kitchen-related tasks such as prepping, thawing, cooking, packaging, wrapping, and cleaning.
• Stock, clean, and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Actively cross-sell and up-sell products.
• Maintain solid knowledge of products and services available in the plaza.
• Assist in the training of new team members.
• Follow brand standards, food safety requirements, and all company policies and procedures.
• Inform plaza leadership of observations, concerns, or problems.
• Execute a variety of other tasks as assigned.

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.

• Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Frequently bend, twist, lift, and carry at least 40 pounds.
• Ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, and converse comfortably with customers.
• Available to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation.
