Job Description

Christensen Recycling seeks self‑starting motivated buyers to develop supplier relationships and purchase scrap materials from mechanics, scrap yards, auto dismantle rs, and dealerships. The role involves sourcing accounts, negotiating pricing based on metal markets, and coordinating pickups of all scrap metal.

• Start at 6 a.m. each day.
• Develop relationships with auto repair shops, scrap yards, and dismantle rs.
• Purchase scrap metals.
• Negotiate prices based on metal market conditions.
• Visit suppliers and coordinate material pickups.
• Grow and maintain supplier accounts.
• Track purchases and supplier activity.

• Experience in sales and driving rack body style trucks (550 and 600 series).
• Strong negotiation and relationship‑building skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to travel locally and up to 3 hours away.
• Clean MVC driving record.
• Knowledge of scrap metals is a major plus.
