- Drive sales performance to ensure forecasts are met or exceeded within the assigned territory by calling on HCP offices and Mental Health Community Centers both in-person and virtually.
- Effectively use assigned budgets to achieve territory objectives.
- Customize discussions and client interactions based on customer needs while remaining compliant and ethical. Maintain current understanding of local market, practice structures, evolving customers, and key influencers, and share this information with relevant internal stakeholders.
- Provide input into resource allocation decisions across customers and region.
- Identify and select programs/resources appropriate for each customer, practice, and system.
- Collaborate with the Regional Business Manager and key stakeholders to develop a local business plan that ensures achievement of all business objectives.
- Capitalize on formulary approvals and other business opportunities through effective implementation of the strategic plan.
- Collaborate with other Neuroscience Sales Specialists on common objectives and best practice sharing.
- Accountably manage work hours, sales call data, customer objectives, communication responses, sample, and expense reporting in a timely and accurate manner.
- Build a business plan based on depth and breadth of customer business needs, resources, and products.
- Complete all company and job‑related training as assigned within required timelines.
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant healthcare sales/account management or business‑to‑business sales experience; or recent transition from Active‑Duty Military.
- 3+ years of specialty pharmaceutical sales experience is preferred; launch, antipsychotic, and/or bipolar sales experience highly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, valid driver’s license, and safe driving record.
- Strong desire and passion for improving the lives of patients and their caregivers, with a patient‑centric mindset.
- High integrity and adherence to company compliance policies and procedures.
- Strong self‑motivation, initiative, entrepreneurial spirit, and excellent decision‑making judgment.
- Team collaboration and cross‑functional skills.
- Proven track record of learning and adapting in evolving environments (e.g., COVID‑19).
- Ability to be agile and adapt to changing telemedicine/virtual environments.
- Ability to analyze data/metrics to assess progress against objectives and diagnose performance issues.
- Experience establishing new customer relationships and communicating technical information to diverse audiences.
- Availability for meetings outside normal working hours, overnight travel, and periodic domestic travel to corporate headquarters, training, and sales meetings.
- Ability to perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
