Relationship Driven Automotive Finance & Insurance Consultant Job Overview
At Bridgewater Chevrolet, we believe customers don’t come to a dealership to be sold. They come seeking guidance, expertise, and a trusted professional who can help them make informed decisions.
If your approach to F&I is built on pressure, gimmicks, or shortcuts, this position probably isn’t for you.
If you believe in process, professionalism, training, accountability, relentless effort, and creating value through consultation — keep reading.
Who We Are
We are a company of people, developing people in the automotive industry — and being the best at it.
Our culture is built around a core set of values that have always defined how we operate:
- Whatever It Takes, Ethically
We believe in becoming brilliant at the basics and doing the ordinary things extraordinarily well. Our process creates consistency, accountability, customer satisfaction, and profitability — and our people bring the intensity to execute it every single day.
Whatever It Takes, Ethically
This has always been how we operate — we’re simply putting it in writing.
We work tirelessly. Some days that’s 8 hours. Some days it’s 10, 12, or more when the moment calls for it. We do whatever it takes — ethically, every single time — to serve the customer, protect the deal, and grow for the future.
What that looks like in F&I:
- Staying late to complete a delivery the right way, not the fast way.
- Coming in early to prepare deal files so nothing gets missed.
- Following up with customers, lenders, and product providers until the loop is closed — no matter how many touches it takes.
- Owning the outcome of every deal that crosses your desk — the good ones and the hard ones — without excuses.
- Choosing the harder right over the easier wrong, every single time.
What that does NOT mean:
- Burning out or celebrating exhaustion for its own sake.
- Skipping personal development, family, or health. Sunday is closed. We protect it.
- Bending disclosures, product presentations, or numbers to “get a deal done.”
- Selling a customer a product they don’t need or a payment structure that doesn’t fit their life.
- Treating hours worked as a substitute for compliance, accuracy, or customer trust.
- Anyone can be busy. We want people who are productive, present, and relentless with the time they invest — and who never, ever compromise their integrity to hit a number.
What Makes This Role Different
Our F&I department is built around a consultative process designed to create trust and long-term relationships.
- Thoughtful recommendations
- The ability for every customer to make informed decisions
Our process focuses on understanding the customer’s ownership plans, identifying their needs, and presenting solutions that genuinely benefit them.
We don’t wing it. We don’t rely on pressure. We follow a proven process — and we execute it with intensity and integrity, every single deal.
